MUSSURA
COMMUNITY AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE IN SENEGHE
We are a group of young people who have decided to start a cooperative project and to produce authentic wines.
We are located in central-western Sardinia, in the historic region of Montiferru, the largest volcanic complex in Sardinia, a natural theater overlooking a spectacular view, 20 km from the sea.
Not only a territory with a great agri-food, olive-growing and wine-growing vocation, but also a rural area, and as such precious and fragile at the same time, which we have decided to take care of.
"S'ora de sa mussura” indicates in Sardinian language the last moment of the full moon, when the "old" moon ends and the journey towards the new moon begins.
In traditional agriculture, the phases of the moon are a fundamental reference for all activities. The term Mussura has a mystical, almost magical meaning in Sardinian culture. During s'ora de sa mussura many interventions are not recommended, such as cutting wood that would become flour in a few days, or cutting meat that would rot in a few hours.
The full moon is also traditionally considered the reference period for the decanting of great aging wines, the same ones we intend to produce.
Natural wines
We produce authentic wines, with a strong link with the territory. We grow grapes according to the principles of biodynamic viticulture, with natural and enologically aware vinifications.
